A new programme called Social Prescribing for Health and Wellbeing is being rolled out across the Shannonside region, with people in Leitrim able to access the scheme through the Breffni Family Resource Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The programme aims to support the health and well-being of people by using community-based activities and supports and Sarah O Connor is the Social Prescribing co-ordinator in Leitrim and she has been speaking to Kevin McGillicuddy about the programme,
