The state has been ordered to move around 30 refugees staying at an IPAS centre in Lissywollen into alternative accommodation.
Athlone Councillors are taking legal action against the state over plans to locate up to 1,000 asylum seekers in tents.
At the latest High Court hearing last Friday, it was ordered that the state move the remaining refugees into alternative accommodation by the 7th of November.
The decision means that the location will not be used as an IPAS centre for the foreseeable future however it's not a full closure of the site.
