There's been a proposal for an increase to parking fees in Longford Town.
The matter was raised at yesterday's Longford County Council meeting and was discussed in a heated debate.
The proposal would see the charge increase from the current fee of €1 an hour to €1.50 an hour.
The generated funds would be invested in footpath renovations around the town.
After the meeting, Daniela Rana spoke to councillor Mark Casey, who strongly opposed the motion:
