With the introduction of exercise and travel limits over the last year, people have been out and about locally more than ever. With many working from home or out of work due to the pandemic, the family dog is getting walked more than ever. However with the increase of dogs out in public and at popular walking destinations, concerns have been raised in some cases over the control of dogs. Our reporter Daniel Considine has been speaking to Leitrim Dog Warden Killian Costigan about responsible dog ownership and adopting animals for the right reasons:
