Sabina Higgins, the wife of President Michael D Higgins, joined Co Roscommon campaigners on Saturday for the start of their 165km walk from Strokestown to Dublin along the National Famine Way, in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The event started in Strokestown Park House, which Eoghan Murphy attended and spoke to some of those involved.
