In Ireland, around two and a half thousand people each year develop cancer of the bowel, it affects both men and women.
And a new campaign – #NoRegrets – has been launched by the Marie Keating Foundation to urge people to make themselves informed about its signs and symptoms, in a bid to improve early detection.
Anne Norris was joined by Helen Forristal, the organisation’s director of nursing services and Mick who shared his story.
