A former pediatrician at Portiuncula University Hospital says full maternity services must be restored at the hospital.
Hundreds of people are expected to line the streets of Ballinasloe next week for a major protest over maternity services.
It's after it was announced last month high-risk mothers can no longer have their babies in the hospital.

Over 200 people attended a public meeting in Gullane's in Ballinasloe on Tuesday night, amid serious concern over the move.
Dr Kevin Connolly chaired the meeting - he gave Eoghan Murphy his take on the meeting.
