The annual India Festival in Ireland will not go ahead this weekend because of safety fears.
The Ireland India Council says it's because of recent unprovoked attacks on members of the Indian community.
The event was due to take place at Farmleigh in Dublin's Phoenix Park on Sunday.
Dr. Madeleine Ní Dhálaigh spoke to Joe Finnegan about it.
