Alopecia, or hair loss, is a common condition in Ireland. Its believed between 5,000 and 10,000 are living with the condition at any given time ..its an autoimmune condition causing patchy hair loss,and While it can can affect people of all ages, it's particularly prevalent in men, with 40% of men over 35 experiencing noticeable hair loss. Hair loss can also affect women, with some reports indicating that 25% of Irish women experience hair loss. Country and folk singer Sina Theil told her story to the Joe Finnegan Show
