There was an unexpected visitor to Ballyleague this week when a pygmy goat was discovered in the water at the marina. The goat is currently being held at the local tennis court for its own safety as efforts are made to find its owner.
Local businessman Joe O'Brien says the animal was first seen by boatowners and brought ashore yesterday evening. He's urged the owners to contact him at O'Brien's Newsagents in Lanesboro:
