A status yellow snow and ice warning is in place for the east of the country.
The alert for nine counties from Monaghan to Waterford - excluding Louth - is in place until 9 o'clock tonight.
A similar warning for Munster, Leinster and Connacht comes into effect at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning for 24 hours.
