Weather warning issued for four local counties

Weather warnings have been issued for 21 counties. A status yellow thunderstorm alert is currently in place for most of Leinster and Munster, along with Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Roscommon.

Heavy downpours are expected until 8 o'clock this evening. A similar rainfall warning will then kick in for Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford until midnight.
