Waterway users in the Westmeath region are being advised of disruptions on the Royal Canal this weekend.
The lifting bridge at the Downs, near Mullingar was damaged following vandalism last month.
The bridge was closed over the last two weeks to facilitate repairs and was due to open this week.

Waterways Ireland have now confirmed that the bridge will remain closed until further notice to complete the repairs.
