Hundreds of people lined the streets of Carrick-on-Shannon today for the town's St Patrick's Day parade.
The major event, held in rainy conditions, was led by grand marshal Kathleen Coleman, a founding member of Carrick-on-Shannon Tidy Towns, who won the overall competition for the first time in history last year.
She appeared in a vintage car just behind Kiltubrid Pipe Band, who played beautiful music to the huge crowd.
There were then floats from several community groups, including the Tidy Towns, Leitrim Pride, Leitrim Women's Collective, Carrick Town Football Club, along with a range of sporting groups, including rugby and GAA clubs. There was also a float of vintage cars.
MC Finola Armstrong-McGuire told the crowd the theme of the parade was 'winning teams'.
