Visiting Restrictions Remain in Place at Sligo University Hospital Amid High Flu Levels

There are 16 patients with flu or RSV being treated at the facility.

The HSE has confirmed that visiting restrictions remain in place at Sligo University Hospital, due to high rates of flu and respiratory illnesses.

There are 16 patients with flu or RSV being treated at the facility.

Sligo University Hospital is continuing to ask the public to help stem the spread of respiratory illnesses by adhering to infection prevention measures and visiting restrictions permitting direct family only.

Visiting times are from 6.30pm to 8.30pm with only one adult family member visitor permitted per patient.

On wards where there is an outbreak, visiting is restricted to compassionate grounds only and with prior arrangements with Ward manager, in advance.

The hospital is continuing to ask the public to help stem the spread of respiratory illnesses by adhering to infection prevention measures.
