A councillor is seeking funding for safety works to be carried out at two local roads in Ballaghaderreen which he says have become 'speedways.'
Councillor Micheál Frain will be raising the motion at the Boyle Municipal District meeting today.
He's calling on safety upgrades to be secured for the Castlerea and Sligo Road in Ballaghaderreen.

The roads are located on the busy R293, and he says traffic volume and speed have been a concern to people in the area.
