The Frenchpark to Castlerea Road closed on Monday and will remain shut until November 3rd, due to the upgrade of the N5.

Up to 10 Roscommon children couldn't go to school this week because of transport issues - but a solution has now been found. The Frenchpark to Castlerea Road closed on Monday and will remain shut until November 3rd, due to the upgrade of the N5. This meant the school bus couldn't collect children in Frenchpark.

Senator Gareth Scahill says some kids couldn't go to school this week because they couldn't get alternative transport. But he says the problem has been fixed for next week:
