The EU insists it has agreed a more favourable trade deal with the US than other countries.
Both sides to the deal finally issued a joint statement today on the agreement reached late last month.
It sets a ceiling of 15 per cent tariffs on the pharma and semiconductor sectors, and carve outs for certain key industries.

However, Midlands- North West MEP Ciaran Mullooly has been alarmed about the uncertainly facing the Irish whiskey sector.
