Uncertainty remains over whiskey industry following latest trade deal

It sets a ceiling of 15 per cent tariffs on the pharma and semiconductor sectors, and carve outs for certain key industries.

EU Trade Commissioner, Maros Sefcovic says it's a serious strategic deal.

However, Midlands- North West MEP Ciaran Mullooly has been alarmed about the uncertainly facing the Irish whiskey sector.

Speaking to Shannonside FM, MEP Mullooly says the sector is still without a tariff agreement.
