Two women are due to appear before Longford District Court over a serious public order incident in Longford town.
The incident is understood to have taken place on the town's main street on Wednesday, shortly after 1pm.
The two arrested women, one aged in her 20s and the other in her 30s, were arrested and detained at Longford Garda Station.

They have subsequently been charged and are due to appear before Longford District Court in the coming weeks.
Investigations are ongoing.
