Two women are due in court this morning following the robbery of an elderly man in Longford last Friday. The females, aged 23 and 29, were arrested on Monday after Gardai carried out searches of several properties.
An elderly man was uninjured but badly shaken despite the alleged incident at his home resulting in a sum of cash being taken.
It's understood that CCTV footage was used in the identification of the suspects, and they were questioned for several hours at Longford garda station yesterday before being charged late last night.

They are due to appear at a sitting of the district court this morning.
