Two local home carers have been recognised nationally for their outstanding work in the community.
Ballinasloe native, Breda Lyons was announced as a finalist in the Comfort Keepers Carer of the Year Awards while Pauline Harper from Newtowncashel in Longford scooped a runner up prize.
Both winners were nominated by their colleagues and clients who say their dedication to the job is remarkable.
