Sligo hospital has seen huge overcrowding during the last year leading to over 34 consultants in the facility to write a letter to the Taoiseach expressing their concern

The monthly figures show a major increase year on year in the overcrowding at Emergency Departments in Sligo and Galway

Just under 100 people are waiting for admission to hospitals in the Shannonside region.
