A Roscommon man has been honoured by Trinity College for his work in civil engineering.
The 2022 Civil Engineering Research in Ireland was awarded earlier this month to Professor Eugene O'Brien.
He was described as a leader in civil engineering research for nearly 40 years, with three books, over 150 journal publications and editorship of multiple journals.
