Tributes have been paid to the woman who was killed in a road traffic collision in Frenchpark yesterday. Kitty Lavin, who was aged in her 80s, died after being struck by a truck in the west Roscommon village. It happened at the junction of the N5 and the R361in Frenchpark at around 4.45pm.
Kitty was originally from Tulsk but had been living in Mullen, Frenchpark with her family for most of her life. Paying tribute to her this morning, local councillor Liam Callaghan said Kitty was very popular in the local community:
