Tributes paid to Ballygar teenager with 'a love for live' who died following illness

The young man died in hospital earlier this week.

Tributes are being paid to a young east Galway man who died following a short illness.

Seamus Langan of Aughrane, Ballygar, known as Seamie, died earlier this week at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe after contracting meningitis.

In an online tribute, St Brendan's GAA club described him as "a strong, young lad with a love for life, devilment and farming" and Ballygar Badminton club and Colaiste Mhuire Ballygar also paid tribute to the popular 18-year-old.
