The trade parts of the EU-Mercosur Agreement are set to take effect for farmers here from today. However, that's without approval from the European Parliament.
In January, nine Irish MEPs voted to refer the EU Mercosur trade agreement to the European Court of Justice. One of those, Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly, says he's disappointed the commission have gone ahead with the deal:
