The late Taoiseach Albert Reynolds developed a close friendship with former British Prime Minister John Major. Mr Reynolds' daughter Cathy says the relationship developed during their tenures as respective Finance Ministers.
This week marks 30 years since the Downing Street Declaration, which laid the groundwork for the Good Friday Agreement five years later. Speaking to Shannonside News, she said the lasting friendship was the bedrock for the historic agreement in 1998:
