A teenager has been killed in a crash in County Galway.
It happened outside Loughrea in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a single-car collision at Moyleen on the N65 Loughrea to Ballinasloe road at about 2.20 this morning.
A man in his late teens, who was travelling in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Portiuncula Hospital for a post-mortem exam.
The driver and two other passengers were taken by ambulance to University Hospital Galway with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road remains closed for a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area between 2 and 2.30am, especially those with dash-cam footage, to contact them.
