Swimming pools in the Shannonside region are to benefit from over 38,000 euro in funding.
The allocation from the Department of Tourism Culture and Arts is part of an overall package of 2.5 million euro to keep swimming pools open following on from the negative impacts due to public nhealth measures as a result of Covid-19 restrictions.
Roscommon Leisure Centre will receive almost 11,000 euro, (€10,997) while Abbey Health & Fitness will be funded to the tune of over €6,300 (€6,357).

The Coral Leisure Centre in Ballinasloe is being approved for over 10,700 (€10,738) and Aura Leisure in Carrick on Shannon is to benefit from over €10,600 (€10,653) euro.
Ballinasloe Senator Aisling Dolanand Minster Frank Feighan are welcoming the announcement.
