Strokestown Town Team is backing a proposal for a multimillion-euro museum to be developed in the town.
Councillor Tom Crosby says the town is ideal for Roscommon's county museum - with Strokestown Park House and the National Famine Museum.
He's calling for a feasibility study to be carried out.
