The warning is issued for a period of 12 hours from early on Friday morning.

A status red wind warning has been issued for Cork and Kerry ahead of Storm Eunice tomorrow.

Met Eireann has also updated its orange alert, with 14 counties, including Leitrim and Roscommon expected to be affected by heavy sleet and snow leading to blizzard-like conditions in parts with treacherous driving conditions.

The rest of the country will come under a yellow wind, snow and rain warning. The Status Orange Snow warning is valid from 3am on Friday morning until 3pm on Friday afternoon.
