Speed surveys to investigate safety concerns on Ballagh roads

Roscommon County Council has agreed to carry out speed surveys to see if traffic calming measures are needed.

Speed surveys will be carried out on two roads in Ballaghaderreen on foot of serious safety concerns.

It's after Independent councillor Micheál Frain raised fears in relation to the Castlerea Road and the Sligo Road.

He says people are speeding and there's heavy traffic.
