A special celebration will take place in Keadue this evening to mark the village's success in the Entente Florale competition.
The north Roscommon village took the top award in the European event held in Hungary last weekend.
Judges visited the area during the summer and a wide range of factors were assessed including planning and development of the village, landscaping, local effort and involvement, and environmental education.

Tonight's celebration will get underway at 8pm in St. Ronan's Hall in Keadue.
