The president of the Longford Chamber of Commerce says ongoing fuel protests could have serious economic impacts in the county if a solution is not found soon.
National farming and haulier organisations have been meeting with the government over rising fuel costs.
It follows confusion over whether or not protesters would be allowed at the table, with the Government saying they would talk to them if they were part of the national associations' delegation.
Protestors have seen been turned away from the meeting.
Meanwhile, supply at hundreds of forecourts are running dry, while long queues are forming at local petrol stations as people rush to fill up their tanks.
