National home solar installations rose by more than 22% in 2024 compared to 2023.
Locally, the number of solar panels installed in Leitrim has increased from 138 to 169, Longford from 126 to 181, and Roscommon from 352 to 419.
Overall, the figures suggest the Shannonside region is seeing a slight shift toward solar power as more families look to cut costs and reduce emissions.
