A Leitrim councillor says members of the Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District are set to write to local TDs in an attempt to reverse the decision to move the post office in the town.
Fianna Fáil councillor Paddy Farrell brought forward a motion to Monday's Carrick MD meeting seeking support to call on An Post to reverse the decision.
An Post says it will develop a new purpose-fitted post office at Glancy's Supervalu with the change of location due to take place in the first quarter of 2025.
