New electric car registrations in the Shannonside region continues to rise sharply.
That's according to new figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.
There have been 159 new electric car registrations in Roscommon in the first half of the year which is a 144% increase compared to the same time last year.
Elsewhere there has been 74 new registrations in Longford which represents a 124% whilst Co. Leitrim has seen a 112% increase with 51 new EV registrations.
