A series of seminars aimed at introducing women and people from diverse backgrounds to politics will take place in Roscommon in the coming weeks.
The information events will be hosted by Roscommon County Council and political lobby group See Her Elected.
See Her Elected is an organisation which aims to deliver greater female engagement in the political process.
The seminars will examine the history of women in politics in Roscommon, and the functions of the County Council.
The first of three seminars will take place in the Chamber of Roscommon County Council on Wednesday next.
