The new leader of the Seanad is congratulating the new cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council on his appointment.
Fine Gael councillor Domnick Connolly became the new first citizen of Roscommon on Monday.
His party colleague, Garret Ahern, was appointed as leader of the Seanad last week.
