Save Leitrim urges people to remember impact of forestry during 'Heritage Week'

The Save Leitrim group feel Heritage Week should reflect more of what has been lost df due to government policies

A Leitrim environmental group is encouraging people to reflect on the heritage lost due to increased forestry plantations across the country.

The Save Leitrim Group believes that Heritage Week, which is being celebrated across the country this week, needs to also reflect on the heritage of the present and the future.

In a Facebook post, the group says that the current government, and previous administrations need to reflect on their policies and the impact it has had on communities and nature, including the curlew.
