A community in Roscommon has been plunged into sadness following the death of a young sportsman.
Ballyleague resident Liam Dunne passed away suddenly yesterday.
Liam was a keen soccer player and was a member of Roscommon Town Football Club.
He's survived by his parents, Gary and Róisin, his twin brother Rory and sister Clara.
CBS Roscommon paid tribute to Liam on social media this afternoon.
The school said he was a cherished member of the Class of 2025 and was more than just a student.
It said he brought warmth and joy to the school community and had a unique ability to make those around him feel valued and appreciated.
It added that those who knew him will remember his kindness and the genuine care he showed for others.
St Faithleach's GAA Club also paid tribute today, expressing deepest condolences to Liam's family.
Liam will be laid to rest in St Coman's Cemetery on Saturday following funeral mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon.]
