Rural drivers expected to be hit the hardest by fuel price increases

The price of a litre of petrol and diesel increased by 4 cent and 3 cent respectively on April 1st, with another similar hike planned for August 1st.

Rural drivers across the region will be hit the hardest by increases in fuel prices.
That's the view of TD for Sligo-Leitrim, Marian Harkin.
The price of a litre of petrol and diesel increased by 4 cent and 3 cent respectively on April 1st, with another similar hike planned for August 1st.

Deputy Harkin believes filling stations in border counties will also be heavily affected and called on the Government to reverse the increases.
