Roscommon truck crash caused up to half a million euro worth of damage

The driver, a man in his 50s, was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.

Up to half a million euro worth of damage was caused by a truck crashing into a house in Co Roscommon yesterday morning. The lorry hit a home at Grangemore, on the Boyle to Frenchpark road, at around 10 o'clock. The driver, a man in his 50s, was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.

A woman was upstairs in the house at the time but wasn't hurt. Cathaoirleach of the Boyle Municipal District and property developer, Tom Crosby, says the house was very badly damaged:
