A local student has been selected as a finalist in the RTÉ All-Ireland Drama Festival Schools Playwright Competition.
Alena Healy Lloyd goes to Castlerea Community School in County Roscommon and is one of six finalists in the competition.
The winner will be announced this Monday with the winning being acted out on stage at the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone.
