The funeral of talented Roscommon footballer Rochelle Mullaney will take place this morning in Fourmilehouse. The 30-year-old passed away on Saturday last following a three-year battle with cervical cancer. Tributes have been paid this week to the former Kilbride captain who spoke out on the need for young women to attend cancer screenings.
Rochelle or 'Rocky', as she was affectionately known, will be laid to rest later today in Derrane following funeral mass in St Brigid's Church, Fourmilehouse. Rochelle's teammates and friends have been paying warm tributes this week, highlighting the bravery she showed throughout her illness.
