Roscommon had the third highest number of requests for state help after January's Storm Eowyn.
A total of 8,702 people in the county applied for money under the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme, behind only Galway and Mayo.
Over 6,000 applications were made in Longford and nearly 4,400 in Leitrim.
The figures were released to TG4, ahead of a special programme at 8 o'clock this evening.
