Work to start on Roscommon GAA centre later this year

The centre will include a sports pavilion, high-performance gym, training pitches, and a dedicated training area.

Work will start by the end of this year on Roscommon GAA's Centre of Excellence - and it'll be finished three years later.

The project has now been awarded 15.5 million euro in funding.

A 24-acre site just outside Roscommon town has also been purchased.

Roscommon GAA chairperson, Tom Murray, says the project will move to construction soon:
