A Roscommon Deacon will be ordained into the priesthood later today.
Chris Garrett who currently serves in the parish of Castlerea is just one of four priests to be ordained in Ireland this year.
The ceremony will take place in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo at 3pm.

Bishop Kevin Doran will ordain Deacon Garrett to the priesthood for the Diocese of Elphin.
All are welcome to attend the ordination.
