A Roscommon Cllr recently raised safety issues regarding roadside trees in the county. Fine Gael Cllr Gareth Scahill brought forward a motion at the most recent Roscommon County Council meeting.
The Castlerea based councillor called on the council to remove and replace dead, dangerous and infected roadside trees. Cllr Scahill says future storms during the winter can lead to further damaged roadside trees causing safety issues:
