A Roscommon club will tomorrow call for the GAA to drop Allianz as a sponsor over its links to Israel.
St Aidan’s from Ballyforan has tabled the motion for Roscommon county board’s annual convention in the Abbey Hotel tomorrow night.
It says a recent UN report claimed Allianz Insurance is profiting from the illegal occupation of Palestine.
Offaly, Tyrone and Fermanagh county boards have passed similar motions.
Allianz has been a leading sponsor of the GAA’s National Leagues since 1993.
